Orange County CDBG-DR Buyout Program

How it works

Orange County’s Emergency Management department maintains an official CDBG Grant Info page for the CDBG-DR Buyout Program. The page links directly to two program documents: the CDBG-DR Buyout Program Flier and the CDBG-DR Buyout/Acquisition Program Intake Beneficiary Application. That confirms this is an active county homeowner assistance program, with the county serving as the intake point.

The landing page itself is brief and does not spell out the full program design, but the title and linked documents show the program is a buyout/acquisition effort tied to disaster recovery. In practical terms, that means the assistance is aimed at moving eligible households out of flood-prone situations rather than funding in-place home retrofit work.

What the money covers

The landing page does not list specific covered expenses or dollar amounts. The program name indicates acquisition/buyout assistance related to flood recovery.

Amounts and matching

No dollar amount, cap, or matching requirement is stated on the official landing page.

How to apply

The page directs applicants to the Intake Beneficiary Application and the program flier. The webpage functions as the county’s official entry point for the CDBG-DR buyout program.

Timing and deadlines

The page is live on the county website, which indicates the program information is currently available, but no application deadline, closing date, or award window is stated on the landing page.
