Common questions
Is Cindera an insurance company?
No. Cindera is a wildfire readiness platform. We are not a licensed insurance agent, broker, or carrier. We help you document your home and connect with independent licensed insurance professionals who can explore options for wildfire-risk properties.
What insurance situations do you help with?
We help California homeowners who are shopping for a new policy, were non-renewed or cancelled, are on the California FAIR Plan only, carry a FAIR Plan plus wrap policy, already have insurance but want better options, are currently uninsured, or are not sure where to start. You’ll tell us your situation when you complete your intake in the app—we’ll ask for the documents that fit your case.
What does this cost?
Insurance support is free for homeowners. Create an account, submit your property details, and complete your intake in the app. Our team reviews your request at no charge.
What is an HO-3 policy?
HO-3 is the industry name for a standard homeowners insurance policy—the kind that usually covers your house, belongings, and liability on one policy. It’s what most lenders require and what people mean by “regular” homeowners insurance. If you’re on the FAIR Plan or shopping for coverage, an HO-3 is typically what you’re working toward.
How long until I hear back?
Our team typically reviews submissions within three business days and follows up in Cindera Support Messages with next steps.
What will I need to provide?
Nothing is required to submit your intake. Helpful uploads include exterior photos, policy documents, cancellation notices, or proof of hardening work—add what you have now and upload more anytime in the app.
Can you guarantee I’ll get coverage?
No. Coverage and pricing decisions are made solely by carriers and licensed insurance professionals. Cindera cannot guarantee eligibility, premiums, or savings—but verified hardening and good documentation put you in the strongest position.
