How it works

Travis County says its Weatherization Assistance helps clients achieve higher energy efficiency levels in their homes. Once the application is approved, the county provides the materials and/or labor needed to complete the work.

What the money covers

How to apply

Applicants first gather required documents, then submit an application online through the county’s application portal or pick up a paper application at one of the six community centers. After the application is submitted, staff complete an eligibility appointment. Eligible applicants are placed on a waitlist. When the application comes up on the waitlist, the county schedules a Whole House Assessment to determine what the home qualifies for.
