How it works

The Monroe County Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program is designed to preserve existing housing by providing essential repairs to low- and moderate-income homeowners. Amounts and terms

Qualified homeowners may receive assistance through a 0% interest deferred payment loan secured by a mortgage on the property. The loan is forgivable over a 7-year period, with 1/7 forgiven each year. The remaining balance is due only if the home is sold or transferred during the affordability period.
