How it works

Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) runs the Home Repair program to help eligible homeowners fix significant problems in their homes. The program is grant funded and is provided at no cost to the homeowner.

GLCAP says the Home Repair program is intended for one or two significant problems in the home. It is part of GLCAP’s broader Home Repair and Home Rehabilitation offerings, and both programs are funded through the Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) program through the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development.
