City of Rocky Mount Energy Share Program

How it works

The City of Rocky Mount offers the Energy Share program for residential customers. It is a rebate program: customers complete qualifying work and can receive a cash rebate for eligible improvements.

The city says it also offers free energy audits and encourages customers to make low-cost and no-cost changes to their homes and businesses to reduce energy use and utility bills.

What the money covers

The page states that Energy Share rebates are available for work related to:

• Attic weatherization
• Replacement HVAC systems
• Ductwork

The city describes the program as weatherization rebates for residential customers. The page also notes that the broader Energy Resources program helps customers understand how energy is used and how to reduce consumption.

Amounts and matching

The published rebate amounts are:

• Up to $500 for attic weatherization
• Up to $1,000 for a replacement HVAC system
• Up to $250 for ductwork

The page does not mention any matching requirement, income-based tiers, or additional caps beyond these stated rebate amounts.

How to apply

The page links customers to the Energy Share Program for more information, but it does not provide step-by-step application instructions on this page.

Timing and deadlines

The page does not list an application opening date, closing date, or funding deadline for Energy Share on this page.
