Program details
How it works
PG&E’s Generator & Battery Rebate Program gives eligible residential or business customers a rebate after they buy and receive a qualifying portable generator or portable battery. The program is tied to PG&E’s Wildfire Safety Progress Map: you enter your address, then check the “Backup Power Solutions” tab to see whether you qualify.
What the money covers
The program covers qualifying portable generators and portable batteries used as backup power during outages. PG&E also notes that some generators may be compatible with its Backup Power Transfer Meter Program, but that is a separate program.
