Housing Rehabilitation Program

How it works

The City of Riverside’s Housing Rehabilitation Program provides eligible homeowners with financial assistance to rehabilitate their homes. The city says eligible repairs include work needed to bring the home up to standard, including health and safety risks, ADA enhancements, lead-based paint or termite repairs, correction of code violations, and some general improvements.

Amounts and repayment

• Maximum rehabilitation loan: $60,000.

• Deferred loans become due when the home is no longer owner-occupied, or upon resale, transfer of title, cash-out refinancing, or death of the borrower, whichever comes first.
