How it works
For Northern Virginia residents, Habitat DC-NOVA partners with TruBlue Total House Care to help homeowners with low incomes safely age in place or address other hazards in their homes. TruBlue provides an in-home safety assessment and then completes necessary repairs.
What the money covers
The page lists the following repair types:
- Deck repairs, deck board replacement, and fence repairs
- Cabinetry installation
- Storm door or screen door installation
- Interior door replacement or installation, but not door widening
- Grab bar installation
- Replacement thresholds
- Fans and lighting replacement only; no new wiring
- Bathroom and kitchen faucet replacement
- Toilet replacement
- Vanity replacements
