How it works

The Rental Unit Accessibility Modification (RUAM) Program is a grant program administered by Loudoun County’s Department of Housing and Community Development, through Virginia Housing. The county says applications are submitted to Virginia Housing by the Department of Housing and Community Development staff on behalf of the applicant.

Amounts and what it covers

• Grant amount: up to $10,000
• The program funds repairs and accessibility improvements for rental units
• The county says the funds do not pay for the cost of items that are required to be provided by the landlord
