Home Accessibility and Repair Program (HARP)

How it works

The Home Accessibility and Repair Program (HARP) provides one-time forgivable loans to homeowner-occupants for home repairs and accessibility improvements. Loudoun County says the loan may also cover hazardous inspections and mitigations if applicable.

Amounts and forgiveness

• Maximum loan: up to $35,000.
• Forgiveness schedule:
  • $0-$10,000: 5-year forgivable period
  • $10,001-$20,000: 10-year forgivable period
  • $20,001-$35,000: 15-year forgivable period

How to apply

Applicants must complete the application, print and sign it, and submit a hard copy with all supporting documents.
