Wildland-Urban Interface Prevention, Preparedness and Mitigation Funding (WUIPPM Fund)

How it works

The Utah Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands offers WUIPPM grants for projects and activities tied to reducing wildfire hazard in high-risk areas where homes and other development meet wildland. The program is aimed at eligible entities, not individual homeowners.

Important limitation for homeowners

The program is not a direct homeowner grant. Homeowners may benefit only indirectly if their local fire department, cooperative entity, or other eligible applicant uses the funds for community wildfire-risk reduction work.
