What the program does
The official Tennessee Firewise page does not describe a direct cash benefit to homeowners. Instead, it recognizes communities that have taken actions to reduce wildfire risk and protect homes and neighborhoods. The state’s Firewise page says the program empowers and engages residents living in wildfire-prone areas with a plan and actions that can increase a home’s chances of surviving a wildfire and make it safer for firefighters.
