Smoke & CO Alarms

How it works

The Spartanburg City Fire Department has partnered with Fire Safe SC to provide citizens a free smoke and carbon monoxide alarm program. During the free home visit, firefighters check whether your alarms are in the right location, working, and within ten years of the manufacture date. If needed, they will install new alarms to make sure you and your family are properly protected.

What the service covers

The visit includes checking smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and, if necessary, installing new alarms. Firefighters also discuss creating an escape plan and point out any hazards or safety concerns they notice during the visit.

How to apply

Homeowners can complete the Smoke & CO Alarm Request Form or call the Fire Services phone number at 864-596-2083.
