City of Corvallis Green Grants

How it works

The City of Corvallis Green Grants program funds community-centered projects and initiatives that move the dial on climate change and promote actions in the Corvallis Climate Action Plan. Applications are reviewed by the Climate Action Advisory Board and awarded by the Corvallis City Council.

What the money covers

The official page does not list wildfire-specific project types, but it does say projects must align with the Climate Action Plan. The program has supported a range of community projects; the page does not state that wildfire projects are excluded.

Amounts and matching

• $5,000 in grant funds were available for 2026
• Typical grant amount: $500 to $1,000
• For awards of $600 or more, a W-9 is required before funds can be disbursed
• No matching requirement is stated

How to apply

Applicants must submit a complete application online when the window is open. The page says online submissions are preferred and that applicants may need to respond to follow-up questions from staff.

Timing and deadlines

The 2026 application window is closed and submitted applications are under review. The page says applications are typically approved in May, with funds typically disbursed in June or July. Funds must be spent during the grant term, between contract signing and March 31 of the following calendar year.
