What the service covers
The page recommends actions such as:
- cleaning roofs and gutters;
- maintaining about a 30-foot area around the home free of burnable material;
- connecting hoses long enough to reach the home and filling large containers with water;
- reviewing homeowner’s insurance and updating a contents list;
- getting the Nebraska Forest Service’s Living With Fire homeowners guides for eastern and western Nebraska.
