How it works
The Montana Department of Environmental Quality says the Montana Home Energy Rebates Program combines two federal rebate streams: HOMES and the High Efficiency Electric Home Rebate (HEEHR) Program.
Current status
DEQ states the program is not currently available and that final U.S. Department of Energy approval is required before rollout. The page also says planning work was paused in February 2025 and that DOE issued initial revised guidance on June 1, 2026.
