Neighborhood Impact Program

How it works

The City of Moorhead says the Neighborhood Impact Program partners Moorhead residents with Gate City Bank to revitalize mature neighborhoods by providing low-interest financing for home repairs and improvements. The program is aimed at helping local homeowners complete projects that improve the condition, safety, and usefulness of their homes.

What the money covers

Program funds may be used for a wide range of home-improvement work, including:

• code issues and structural issues
• energy efficiency improvements
• general property improvements
• code and structural corrections
• energy improvements
• general property upgrades
• safety repairs such as furnace replacements
• accessibility adjustments
• broader home-improvement projects such as patio additions and new garages

Amounts and terms

• Loan amounts can range from $10,000 to $100,000
• Each location may have varied rates and requirements
• Applications are reviewed first-come, first-served while funds are available
• Each application is subject to credit qualification and a home evaluation
