Recycle Roundups and Electronics Recycling Events

How it works

Van Buren County partners with the Van Buren Conservation District to hold recycling collection events across the county. The county describes Recycle Roundups as free, convenient events for residents and landowners, and says the district also runs electronics-only collection opportunities throughout the year.

What the service covers

The county says Recycle Roundups collect:

• Household hazardous waste
• Electronics
• Tires
• Foam

The county’s related materials also list household chemical waste and farm/lawn/garden chemicals, and note that the district offers a Clean Sweep program for large amounts of certain agricultural chemicals.

Where and when

The county says Recycle Roundups are held three times annually at locations across Van Buren County, and electronics host-day events rotate through local waste and recycling centers. The county’s event calendar lists specific 2026 event locations in Bangor, Porter Township, Hartford, Gobles, Decatur, Keeler Township, and Bloomingdale.

Costs

The county describes these events as free for residents and landowners.

How to use it

Bring proof of Van Buren County residency or landownership, such as an ID with a county address or a tax bill.

Notes

The county says funding for the collection events is provided in part by Van Buren County, with additional support from the Van Buren Conservation District operations millage and EGLE grants.
