Community Resilience Partnership – Service Provider Grants

Maine Office of Community Affairs · State program

15% cost share required; in-kind match allowed; no public maximum listed on the main page

The state offers grants to regional service providers, including county governments, to help enrolled Maine communities plan climate and resilience projects. The official page does not name Aroostook-only homeowner payments, so this is not a direct homeowner grant, but it can support local resilience work in the county.

Program details

How it works

The Community Resilience Partnership provides grants and technical assistance to eligible Maine communities and regional service providers. The page says the flagship offerings are Community Action Grants and Service Provider Grants, plus other limited-period opportunities when available.

What the money covers

For Service Provider Grants, the purpose is to help organizations assist communities with climate action, energy, and resilience planning. Track 1 helps organizations assist up to five communities to prepare for and enroll in the Partnership and then apply for grant funds for priority climate and energy projects. Track 2 helps organizations assist up to five enrolled or enrolling communities to complete community vulnerability assessments and use that data to prioritize climate action projects and apply for grant funds.

Amounts and matching

The page states that a 15% cost share is required of the service provider, and in-kind match is permitted. The page does not state a maximum dollar amount on the main page.

How to apply

Applications are submitted through the MOCA grants portal in Submittable. Applicants must sign up to use the portal.

Timing and deadlines

Applications for both tracks may be submitted at any time and are reviewed quarterly. Awards are made as funding is available and are subject to the annual program funding limit in the program statement. The page lists quarterly deadlines, including August 14, 2026, November 13, 2026, and March 15, 2027.
