How it works

The Department of Insurance says it issued Bulletin 2026-04 to notify all property and casualty insurers authorized to write insurance in Louisiana of Regulation 136—Fortified Homes Premium Discounts. The regulation requires insurers to provide premium discounts for residential properties that obtain a FORTIFIED designation under IBHS standards.
