AES Indiana Income Qualified Weatherization Program

How it works

Customers who meet AES Indiana’s income requirements can receive a free in-home energy assessment from an AES Indiana approved contractor, CLEAResult. During the visit, an energy advisor evaluates the home, installs free energy-efficient products right away, and recommends additional weatherization improvements the home may qualify for. If the assessment identifies eligible weatherization work, AES Indiana connects the customer with a member of its Quality Contractor Network to complete the upgrades at no cost to the homeowner.

The assessment line is available Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Eastern Time. If customers have concerns about a scheduled assessment or want to verify whether a call is legitimate, they are told to hang up and call 866-908-4915.

Additional notes

If a customer does not qualify for an in-home assessment, AES Indiana says they may still be eligible for a no-cost virtual assessment, which includes a trained energy advisor, recommendations, energy-saving tips, and a customized kit of energy-efficient items. Pre-qualification for some free weatherization upgrades may not be available during the virtual assessment. To receive a smart thermostat, the home must have electric heat or central cooling, a compatible HVAC system, and working Wi-Fi. Weatherization upgrades require electric heat.
