How it works

Sioux City Fire Rescue says the SAFE Home Program is a free service for any Sioux City resident. The program has three parts: a free Home Fire and Safety Guide, a free home survey by trained fire personnel, and free smoke alarm installation.

Residents can sign up at fire department open houses or by calling the Fire Prevention Bureau.
