City of Tifton Smoke Alarms Program

How it works

The Tifton Fire Department has an established smoke alarm program for City of Tifton residents. Eligible residents can receive smoke alarms for their home at no cost, and the department provides assistance and direction for proper installation.

What the money covers

This is not a cash grant or rebate. The program provides up to two free smoke alarms per home. The page also says recipients are given instruction and direction about proper smoke alarm maintenance and installation.

Additional help included

The page states that the program also provides additional forms of fire prevention that may vary depending on applicability of the household. No further detail is given on what those additional services or items may be.

How to apply

The page does not describe a formal application process, but it identifies the program as available to City of Tifton residents. Homeowners would need to contact the Tifton Fire Department or the City of Tifton for current participation details.

Timing and deadlines

No deadline, opening date, or closing date is stated on the page. The page only says the fire department has an established program and describes its current benefits.
