How it works

The City of Pensacola Community Redevelopment Agency offers the Residential Property Improvement Program to encourage reinvestment in historic redevelopment neighborhoods, address deferred maintenance, and preserve affordability within designated Community Redevelopment Areas. Property owners may receive construction rehabilitation assistance for eligible improvements to residential property.

What the money covers

Eligible rehabilitation activities may include structure cleaning, exterior painting or re-siding, doors and windows, roofing, landscaping, exterior lighting, fencing, porch repair or replacement, foundation work, and shutters.

Property types

The program is available for owner-occupied, long-term rental, and vacant homes.

Funding status

The page says the program is subject to funding availability, and that all CRA Districts for the residential programs are currently closed to applicants.

Geographic limits

Residential property programs are limited to properties within the Westside, Eastside, and Urban Core CRA districts inside the Pensacola city limits.

Application note
