Program details
How it works
This program provides rehabilitation assistance for owner-occupied housing in unincorporated Osceola County. The county says repair work will meet local building code standards and that, at a minimum, health and safety hazards must be eliminated.
What the money covers
The official page says eligible work may include weatherization, repair or replacement of major housing systems, water and sewer connections, painting, installation of security devices or smoke detectors, improved handicapped accessibility, and other needed general property improvements.
Process
The county will assess the property to determine rehabilitation needs, with priority given to eliminating health and safety hazards and building code violations. Applicants apply by emailing CDBG@osceola.org. The county asks households to send only one email/request per household to avoid delays or duplicates.
Program note
This is a county rehabilitation program for owner-occupied homes. The page does not state an award cap on the program page itself.
