Community Conservation Assistance Program (CCAP)

How it works

The Community Conservation Assistance Program (CCAP) is a voluntary cost-share program offered by the Sussex Conservation District. It provides technical assistance and financial support for small-scale conservation practices installed on non-agricultural lands throughout Sussex County.

Once stormwater projects are completed, routine maintenance is needed to ensure the project continues to function well. The district can also help with technical assistance on how the stormwater system operates.

What the money covers

CCAP is aimed at projects that reduce stormwater runoff, improve water quality, and enhance conservation values within residential neighborhoods and shared community spaces.

How to apply

Interested participants must complete an online CCAP Interest Form. The form is used to help staff learn more about the property or community, evaluate conservation opportunities, and determine next steps for site visits and project planning.

Submitting the interest form does not guarantee funding, but it is required for consideration.
