Program details
How it works
The General Rebate Program is a Boulder County wildfire-mitigation rebate run by Wildfire Partners. Eligible residents apply online, complete approved mitigation work on a Boulder County property, then upload before-and-after photos plus receipts, itemized invoices, and/or time logs for review. If approved, the homeowner chooses a virtual or physical rebate card.
What the money covers
The program covers eligible wildfire mitigation actions and the labor and/or cash expenses needed to complete them on the property. The official page gives examples such as Junk Your Junipers and replacing the first five feet of fencing attached to a house with noncombustible materials.
Amounts and limits
Eligible residents may receive a rebate of up to $500 per Boulder County household per Boulder County property. If multiple eligible mitigation actions are completed, they must be submitted together on one claim, but the rebate is still capped at one payment up to $500.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted through the online portal by 5:00 p.m. MT on October 8, 2026. Work and documentation must be completed and submitted by 5:00 p.m. MT on October 29, 2026.
Funding status
The program is open for 2026 and awards are first-come, first-served until funds are exhausted.
