Program details

How it works

Boulder Fire-Rescue conducts a Detailed Home Assessment for built homes in areas of high wildfire risk. The assessment gives the homeowner a report with suggestions for making the home more wildfire resilient.

What the service includes

The city describes the assessment as a 2-hour walk-through of the home and property followed by a specific report with risk-reduction tactics.

Relationship to funding

This is not itself a rebate program, but it is the required starting point for the city’s WRAP assistance process and is included because it directly supports homeowner hardening decisions.

Costs

The assessment is free.
