Arkansas Urban & Community Forestry

How it works

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division runs the Urban & Community Forestry Program. According to the page, it helps communities, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions with tools and information that promote forest stewardship in communities.

The program also provides assistance through district urban forestry representatives from seven districts. Many of these representatives are certified arborists and work with communities, schools, nonprofit staff, and volunteers to increase public awareness about the value of community trees.

What the money covers

The page does not list a homeowner cash benefit, reimbursement, or a specific grant amount for individual property owners. It says the program is made possible through a grant from the USDA Forest Service, which supports the statewide program itself.

What homeowners can use

The page points homeowners and local residents to resources such as:

• Tree recommendations for Arkansas communities
• Tree planting and care guidance
• How to plant a bare root tree
• How to plant a potted tree
• Tree identification resources
• Find a certified arborist
• Arkansas Urban Forestry Council

How to apply

The page does not provide a homeowner application form, application deadline, or funding cycle for individual grants. It lists district representatives and contact information for people seeking assistance.

Timing and deadlines

No open/close dates or deadlines are stated on the page.

Notes

This page is primarily an outreach and technical assistance page rather than a homeowner incentive program with a stated dollar benefit. The official text does not state direct homeowner funding, matching rules, or income limits.
