Wood/Pellet/Coal Appliance Change Out Program

How it works

The Fairbanks North Star Borough lists a Wood/Pellet/Coal Appliance Change Out Program Application on its public forms page. That indicates an active borough incentive program administered through the Air Quality Division.

What the money covers

The page title shows the program is for changing out wood, pellet, or coal appliances. The forms page does not explain the exact qualifying equipment, whether the incentive is paid as a rebate or reimbursement, or whether it is limited to certain replacement systems.

Amounts and matching

The public page does not state a dollar amount, a reimbursement formula, or any matching requirement.

How to apply

The forms page provides a downloadable application (PDF) for the program. The same page also lists a Vendor Direct Payment Form (PDF), which may be related to how payments are handled, but the page does not spell out the process.

Timing and deadlines

The forms page is currently live and the application is available, but it does not list an application deadline, funding cap, reopening date, or end date.
