Borough Beetle Kill Trees & Fire Reduction / Free Chipping and Defensible Space Clearing Services

How it works

The borough’s manager/program listing and budget materials describe a Beetle Kill Trees & Fire Reduction initiative. Official borough materials say the borough has provided chipping services and free dump services for beetle-kill spruce and defensible-space clearing.

What the service covers

The official materials reference:

• chipping services
• grinding services for beetle-kill spruce
• free dump services for beetle-kill spruce and defensible-space clearing

The source material does not lay out a public application form, household limits, or a standard homeowner reimbursement amount. It reads as borough-run debris handling and fire-risk reduction support.

What homeowners get

The service appears to be in-kind support that helps residents dispose of hazardous woody debris and clear around homes to reduce wildfire risk.

Timing and deadlines

The materials we found do not list open/close dates, a season schedule, or a formal deadline. The borough manager page identifies the initiative as an active borough program area, while the report materials describe ongoing operations and funding.

Notes

Because the official material is thin, the exact household eligibility rules and whether service is available borough-wide or only in certain service areas are not stated in the source we found.
