Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Build the product and systems that help homeowners, insurers, and vendors turn wildfire risk into action. You’ll work across scoring, hardening workflows, and the homeowner experience that makes insurance outcomes possible.
Competitive salary and meaningful equity.
The opportunity
Cindera is building the operating system for wildfire readiness. That means turning parcel-level risk data, property hardening work, and homeowner engagement into a product that helps people take real action before disaster strikes.
As a senior full-stack engineer, you’ll help shape both the user-facing experience and the systems behind it. This is a hands-on role with room to own important product decisions, move quickly, and build in a space where reliability and trust matter.
You’ll work closely with product, operations, and external partners to make complex workflows feel clear and useful. The work spans customer-facing features, internal tools, integrations, and the data plumbing that ties it together.
What you'd do
- Build and ship product features across the stack for homeowners, insurers, and vendor workflows.
- Design and maintain services that support parcel scoring, hardening verification, and operational tooling.
- Work with product and operations to turn messy real-world processes into clear user experiences.
- Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability across core application surfaces and APIs.
- Help set engineering standards around testing, code quality, and practical delivery.
What we're looking for
- Strong experience building production software across both frontend and backend systems.
- Comfort working in a senior role with ownership over architecture, implementation, and delivery.
- Ability to translate ambiguous product and operational needs into simple, durable software.
- Experience collaborating closely with non-engineering teammates and external stakeholders.
- Practical judgment about when to move quickly and when to invest in long-term quality.
Nice to have
- Experience working on risk, insurance, climate, real estate, or property data products.
- Familiarity with mapping, geospatial data, or scoring systems.
- Exposure to workflow tools, operations software, or marketplace-style products.
- Interest in wildfire resilience and helping people harden homes before loss happens.
Why Cindera
Cindera is focused on a real problem with real stakes: helping people understand wildfire risk and take action that changes outcomes. The product has to work in the field, not just in a demo, which makes the engineering both practical and consequential.
You’ll join a small team where senior engineers have direct influence on product direction and technical decisions. If you want to build useful software for a hard problem and see your work move the needle, this is a strong place to do it.
