How you'd help
- Advise on state and local policy trends that affect wildfire mitigation, home hardening, and community resilience programs.
- Identify grant and public funding pathways that could support adoption by homeowners, insurers, vendors, and local partners.
- Help Cindera understand how to position its work for agencies, utilities, municipalities, and nonprofit resilience programs.
- Review partnership opportunities and public-sector messaging so it is credible, practical, and aligned with local needs.
Ideal background
- Experience in public policy, emergency management, climate resilience, or wildfire mitigation.
- Familiarity with state grant programs, community resilience funding, or public-private implementation models.
- Track record working with agencies, local governments, nonprofits, or community-based resilience initiatives.
- Strong understanding of how policy, funding, and on-the-ground adoption intersect in disaster risk reduction.
Time commitment
Light advisory commitment, typically a few hours per month with occasional working sessions as needed.
