The opportunity

Cindera helps homeowners understand wildfire risk and take practical steps to harden their properties. We work with insurers and vendors too, which means the operations team touches a lot of the moving parts that make the product useful in the real world.

This open application is for people who may not fit a posted role but know they can help us run better, move faster, and serve customers well. If you’ve built systems, improved operations, managed workflows, or brought order to messy work, we want to hear how you think.

Tell us where you’ve had the most impact, what kind of problems you like solving, and how you’d contribute at Cindera.

What you'd do

  • Help improve the operational systems that support homeowners, insurers, and vendors.
  • Turn ambiguous work into clear processes, owners, and follow-through.
  • Find bottlenecks in day-to-day execution and propose practical fixes.
  • Work cross-functionally to keep customer-facing and internal operations aligned.
  • Bring structure to a growing team without adding unnecessary process.

What we're looking for

  • You’ve done operational work in a startup, service business, insurance, housing, public safety, or adjacent field.
  • You communicate clearly and can make sense of messy inputs.
  • You are comfortable owning work end to end and following through.
  • You notice where process is breaking down and know how to improve it.
  • You care about practical outcomes, not just tidy documentation.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting a two-sided marketplace, vendor network, or customer operations team.
  • Familiarity with wildfire, insurance, property risk, or home services.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, lightweight systems, and evolving tools.
  • Experience in an early-stage company where priorities change quickly.

Why Cindera

Wildfire risk is not abstract for the people we serve. The work has real consequences for homeowners trying to protect their properties, insurers trying to assess risk, and vendors doing the hard work of mitigation.

At Cindera, you’ll work on a problem that matters and have room to shape how the company operates. We value people who are thoughtful, practical, and willing to do the unglamorous work that makes a team effective.
