Head of Insurance Partnerships
Lead carrier and MGA relationships that help turn verified home hardening into underwriting confidence. Build partnerships that connect Cindera’s risk data and property hardening workflow to real insurance outcomes.
Competitive senior-level compensation, plus equity.
The opportunity
Cindera sits at the point where wildfire risk, property hardening, and insurance decision-making meet. This role is for someone who can build trust with carriers and MGAs, understand how underwriting teams evaluate risk, and turn early conversations into durable partnerships.
You’ll help shape how verified home hardening becomes usable evidence for better risk selection, pricing, and mitigation. The work is part relationship building, part product thinking, and part operational follow-through — with direct exposure to how insurers, homeowners, and vendors all fit together.
We’re looking for someone who can open doors, keep complex deals moving, and represent Cindera with credibility in a space where accuracy and consistency matter.
What you'd do
- Own Cindera’s carrier and MGA partnership strategy from first conversation through launch and expansion.
- Build and manage relationships with underwriting, innovation, distribution, and operations stakeholders at target insurance partners.
- Translate Cindera’s wildfire hardening and verification workflow into clear partnership value for insurers.
- Work closely with product, operations, and leadership to scope pilots, integrations, and commercial terms.
- Track partner feedback, adoption signals, and deal progress, and use that input to refine the go-to-market motion.
What we're looking for
- 7+ years in insurance partnerships, business development, underwriting-adjacent roles, or insurtech go-to-market work.
- Direct experience working with carriers or MGAs and navigating how insurance organizations make decisions.
- Strong ability to explain risk, mitigation, and operational workflows in plain language.
- Comfort leading complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships without a lot of structure.
- A practical, organized working style and the ability to keep details straight across multiple active deals.
Nice to have
- Experience with wildfire, property resilience, climate risk, or homeowner-focused insurance products.
- Familiarity with underwriting workflows, loss control, claims, or policy lifecycle operations.
- Past work launching pilot programs that later expanded into production partnerships.
- Existing relationships in the carrier, MGA, broker, or reinsurer ecosystem.
Why Cindera
Cindera is building practical tools for a real problem: making homes safer and making that work visible to the people who price and insure risk. The product is grounded in verification, workflow, and measurable outcomes, not marketing language.
This is a chance to help define a category early, work directly with the founding team, and have a real hand in how the company grows. If you want a role where strong relationship skills and thoughtful execution matter, this is a meaningful one.
